 ok i moved and set up my aquarium to my bedroom. but since the noise from the filter is bothering me. if i change the impeller (3 years old) i heard it should make a difference. i brushed and cleaned it with a toothbrush and its still making the [...] I own a Super Nintendo (I’m into those games, heheh), but I’ve been having trouble with the power. I’m doing an university project on wireless induction power (the principle of how an electric toothbrush works)…. I’ve designed a couple of circuits but getting me nowhere! Has anybody got any schematics or know of a site or book where I could find some information on?! toothbrushes? I am traveling to Switzerland and I would like to be able to charge my electronics that i bring with me (digital camera, ipod touch, electric toothbrush) but i have heard that even with the proper adaptor (changes the USA plug to the European kind), the voltages are different and my device would be fried [...] Can systems similar to those seen on electric toothbrush chargers be used to transfer mains electricity (UK spec) or are they exclusively suitable for stepping down voltage? It seems that everything is going wireless these days by using radio and infrared communication. Bluetooth is being put into most portable electronics,everyone including kindergarteners carry cell phones, laptops are all wi-fi ready, wireless mice and keyboards are sitting untethered on people’s desks, but we are all still plugged in to the wall.
